Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us:
- Account Information: Email, name, and password when you create an account
- Profile Information: Skills, experience, education, and career preferences
- Application Data: Job applications, resumes, and cover letters you create

2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve our job search and application services
- Generate personalized resumes, cover letters, and job recommendations
- Match you with relevant job opportunities based on your profile
- Send you notifications about your applications and account
- Process payments for employer services
3. Third-Party Job Listings
Our platform displays job listings from third-party sources. Important notes:
- When you apply for a third-party job, you are redirected to the external source website
- Your application is handled by that third party, not by us
- We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external job sites
- We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any external sites you visit
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- AI Services: OpenAI for generating application content (data is processed according to their privacy policy)
- Payment Processors: PayPal for processing employer payments
- Service Providers: Hosting and infrastructure providers
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption, secure connections, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

You have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data
- Opt out of marketing communications
8. Cookies
We use cookies to provide and improve our Service. When you first visit our site, you will see a cookie consent banner that allows you to choose which cookies to accept.
We use three categories of cookies:
- Essential Cookies: Required for authentication, security, and basic functionality. These are always enabled and cannot be disabled.
- Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how you use our site so we can improve. These are optional and only enabled with your consent.
- Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences like theme settings. These are optional and only enabled with your consent.
Your cookie preferences are stored locally and persist across sessions. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the Cookie Preferences link in the footer.
We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
9. Behavior Analytics & Opt-Out
To find broken flows and improve the product, we may collect anonymous behavior signals from your browser using our own first-party analytics (no third-party ad trackers). We only collect these signals after you affirmatively allow Analytics cookies — until then, the tracker stays silent. When enabled, we record:
- Page views, referrer, and time spent on a page
- Clicks (element id and short visible text), and repeated rapid clicks on the same element ("rage clicks")
- Form interactions: which form you started, which fields you focused, submissions, and abandonments
- Idle time (no interaction for more than 3 minutes) and when a tab is closed or hidden
- A short-lived session id (
nrc_sesscookie, 30 days) and your browser user-agent
How to opt out:
- Use the Cookie Preferences link in the footer and turn off Analytics. The tracker will stop sending events immediately and stay off on future visits.
-
If you have an account, open
Settings
and toggle Allow behavior tracking off. This sets an
nrc_track_optoutcookie on your browser. -
You can also set the cookie
nrc_track_optout=1manually in your browser to disable tracking without changing any preference. -
Do Not Track (DNT) & Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser or
extension sends a
DNT: 1header (navigator.doNotTrack === "1") or the newer Global Privacy Control signal (navigator.globalPrivacyControl === true), we automatically treat that as an opt-out. The tracker will not run and no behavior events will be sent, even before you interact with the cookie banner. When we detect one of these signals, the cookie banner shows a small note confirming we're respecting it.
Opting out does not affect essential cookies needed to keep you signed in. We honor your choice for as long as the opt-out cookie, preference, or browser signal is present on your device.
Right to erasure (GDPR Article 17): Opting out stops new
events, but you can also delete the behavior data we have already collected.
This removes the matching rows from our user_events,
user_sessions, behavior_flags, and
funnel_progress tables and cannot be undone.
-
If you have an account, open
Settings
and click Delete my tracking data. We delete rows tied to your user id and the
nrc_sesscookie on this browser. -
No account? Use the button below to delete the data tied to your current
nrc_sesssession cookie.
Right of access (GDPR Article 15): Want a copy of your data before you delete it? Download it as JSON (one file with every table) or CSV (a ZIP with one CSV per table, ready to open in Excel or Google Sheets).
10. Changes to This Policy

Delete tracking data?
This permanently removes all behavior events, sessions, abandonment flags,
and funnel progress tied to this browser's nrc_sess cookie
(and your account, if you're signed in). This cannot be undone.
